3 things your eye surgeon would like you to know about coronavirus

#3 Don’t touch your eyes

See #1 and See #2

You know it’s important to wash your hands, cough into your elbow, and keep your hands away from your face and eyes.

The last one is easier said than done, right? Especially if you don’t have perfect vision or haven’t had vision correction surgery. If so & if possible, switch from contact lenses to glasses to reduce eye irritation and you’ll pause before touching your eye. If you continue to wear contact lenses, follow the hygiene tips meticulously. Don’t overwear the lenses, wash your hands before inserting, use daily disposable lenses or clean your case with soapy water daily.
