Laser Eye Surgery - Wavefront LASIK & LASEK

At your consultation your eyes will be analysed with advanced eye scanners. The information is used by advanced, high tech lasers to carry out a personal, customised laser eye surgery treatment of your eyes. The thin layer is created on the surface of your eye which is carefully peeled away (2)
The underlying layer is then precisely reshaped in a wavefront optimised profile by the laser (3).
Then the layer is carefully replaced (4). You’ll see the difference immediately & it gets better quickly.
LASEK (or advanced surface treatment) is better for some people’s eyes & for some sports & occupations. No flap is created – the surface layer is removed (1) to allow the surface of the cornea to then be reshaped in a wavefront profile by the laser (2).
If you are over 40 & have presbyopia (difficulty reading and seeing your phone) then you may be suitable for monovision blended laser eye surgery, which improve distance & near (reading) vision. Mark has had monovision blended laser eye surgery as he happens to be over 40! He has been carrying out laser eye treatments since 1996 & will be able to advise you about the best option for your unique eyes.
EVO ICL's (Implantable Contact Lenses) or phakic lenses
Phakic lens implants are like small contact lenses which are placed in your eyes between your own natural lens & your cornea (front window of your eye). Your own lens is not removed & this treatment is usually best if you’re younger than 50. The results are excellent, especially for people who are very short sighted or scared of laser eye surgery.
Types of phakic lenses include the EVO ICL, IPCL, Artisan or Artiflex lenses. Mark has been implanting phakic lenses since 1998, & will let you know if you are suitable for this procedure.
